Differentiating Between Market Structures Jennifer Lavallee ECO/365 May 27, 2013 Market structure is the physical characteristics of the market within which companies react. This means that there are different kinds of market structure based on how companies work together within a particular industry. Location and product have the most to do with determining the market structure. There are four defined market types. The first market structure is called the perfectly competitive market. The second market is called a monopoly market structure. The third market is called monopolistic competition market structure. The final market is called oligopoly market structure. Their mission statement is about providing the best product and customer service possibl e giving the customer a delightful and pleasing shopping experience. Kudler Fine Foods uses a strategic plan to be successful. Their strategic plan is in their mission statement. They want to offer high quality products from around the world and have knowledgeable customer service that gives the shopper a delightful experience. This plan intertwines with their marketing strategy. By advertising they have excellent customer service and products they are hoping to attract not only the average shopper but the higher class shoppers as well. Kudler performs well in its market because it continues to make a profit. Kudler uses customer surveys to determine its success. These surveys are filled out by the customer to explain how their shopping experience was. The surveys created and given by Kudler include questions about the store itself, merchandise and the customer service. Customers can let Kudler Fine Foods know how convenient the store hours are, how appealing the atmosphere and dà ©cor of the store is and if the store provides a good selection of pro ducts. Avid Exiting Free Essays

There are many reasons why I wish to get out of the Avid program. I personally feel like this class isn’t helping me in any way shape or form, I know I’ll do fine without Avid and I want to do electives which I would actually enjoy and would make my remaining two years of high school memorable. This year would be my third year in Avid. There’s been many cases where I needed help on a question, and would wrote it down as a tutorial question; I stopped doing that once I realized how uncooperative the students were, I would only be helped if a tutor was in our group which was unlikely due to the low amount of tutors we have. The questions other students would write were in no way beneficial to them or the group because they already knew the answer too them. Although some questions were deceiving with their length or appearance to make the question look ‘hard’ they really weren’t. The students would go up and answer it within a minute and sit back down without explaining; when I wanted an explanation I would get it, but with attitude for them not wanting to at least explain how they solved the problem. This irritated me so I soon chose to Just go to tutoring when I needed any sort of help. Although I see why Avid is a well-recognized program, Vie personally had no benefit from it. It’s because of this that I predict exiting from the program won’t affect me. I know Avid will look good in my college transcript but I don’t worry about that since I have pretty good grades and keep them that way. When I need help, I can always go to my teachers for tutoring, as I already do. I’m aware that this is a new ear and a fresh start but if it’s the same thing all over again, I know I would regret staying in the program for yet another year. The only reason Vie chosen to stay in Avid the past two years want to please people who encouraged me to stay but now I shall take a stand for myself. I only have two years left of high school and I want them to be memorable. I want to Join the electives I actually want to be in like culinary arts or yearbook. Vie built up such a negative vibe towards Avid, I’ll only people down if I do stay. Vie been told that as an Avid student I should feel, â€Å"Lucky because there is a list of people waiting to Join Avid hat actually want to be in here and work†. My exiting won’t affect me or the program. Someone who I know will be a great addition to the program would simply replace I respect people’s opinions of why I should stay in Avid but getting out of Avid won’t stop me from being successful. I have high expectations for myself and I know I will strive with or without Avid; and in the end it’s my choice. I am responsible for myself and what I believe is best for me, along with my parent’s of course. My decision is made and I hope I’m given the opportunity to exit the program. Act three scene five gives the audience a striking dramatic contrast and is a very significant part of the play, it is also a turning point for Romeo and Juliet. This scene opens with Juliet saying goodbye to Romeo, who must leave for Mantua. We can tell that there is a relationship from the language that Shakespeare uses, for instants when Juliet keeps on insisting that Romeo should stay and when she calls Romeo love means that they want to stay together. The When it is day Romeo has to leave Juliet, when Romeo says, more light and light, more dark and dark our woes this suggests that as it gets lighter, the more their sadness grows. Romeo says he would be prepared to die for love and this is very ironic and ominous to the audience. Shakespeares uses the talk of meteors and Juliet imagining Romeo dead in the bottom of a tomb to warn the audience of the upcoming tragedy, both of these events are evil omens and develop the theme of death and misfortune. The most important feature of Juliets speech in this scene is ambiguity or double meanings. When Lady Capulet says that Romeo by killing Tybalt has caused Juliets grief, she agrees that Romeo has made her sad, and that she would like to get her hands on him. By placing one word à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" dead between two sentences, Juliet makes her mother think she wants Romeo dead, while really saying that her heart is dead because of him. When she swears by Saint Peters Church and Peter too, her mother thinks she is just using a strong oath but the audience knows that Saint Peter decides who goes to heaven or hell: so she is swearing by the saint who would disallow a bigamous marriage. Later, Juliet speaks sarcastically to the Nurse, who thinks she is sincere, when she says that the Nurse has comforted her marvellous much, with her suggestion of marrying Paris. Juliets last speech in this scene, as she is alone on stage, is, of course, a soliloquy it shows what she is thinking. Both parents use interesting comparisons for Juliets tears. Lady Capulet suggests that Juliet is trying to wash Tybalt from his grave, because she is crying so much she tells her daughter that she is crying too much, and makes a play on the words much and some à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" Some grief shows much of love, but much grief shows some want of wit . Capulet contrasts Pariss merits as a husband with Juliets immature objections. He says that Paris is Of fair demesnes, youthful and nobly ligned and stuffed with honourable parts. He calls his daughter a wretched puling fool and a whining mammet, before sarcastically mimicking her objections to the match: I cannot love I am too young. Also, when Capulet becomes angry, he uses language inventively so the adjective proud becomes both verb and noun: proud me no prouds. And finally, he reminds us of his power over Juliet by speaking of her as if she were a thoroughbred horse, which he can sell at will à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" fettle your fine joints, he says, meaning that she must prepare herself for marriage. Juliet calls her mother madam which tells us she has formed a very formal relationship with her; she treats her mother as a superior, and is polite and well mannered towards her. But her relationship with the nurse is very different she treats the nurse as her natural mother, as she would have been the one to raise Juliet, the nurse courageously defends Juliet when Capulet gets outraged, lady Capulet does try to defend Juliet but not as much as the nurse. The relationship between her and her father is also very formal, Capulet treats Juliet as a possession or object and only does what he thinks is best for her. Romeos and Juliets relationship have equality in their relationship, unlike Juliets parents where Capulet is the dominant one and has a higher status than Lady Capulet. This is a key scene because at the end of it all Juliets relationships are destroyed and she has no choice but to go to Friar Lawrence, and after this point you can tell the relationship is doomed and will be a tragedy.
